External finishes - Cladding and Timber
Cladding choice will probably have the biggest impact on the appearance and durability of your garden room. Cladding offers effective durability, although some materials will require ongoing maintenance to keep them in optimum condition, whilst other options have a natural durability that require minor maintenance.
Timber board is timber that has been cut into varying rectangular widths and lengths. Like Red Wood Cedar it is able to be fitted in either horizontal or vertical. This would require a coat of varnish at least once a year to keep its quality and appearance.
Laminate and Oak Flooring
Laminate flooring is, strong and beautifully finished, our laminate flooring is low maintenance and perfectly engineered. Whatever your interior design plans for your garden room we have a laminate flooring option to suit.
Rustic solid oak flooring offers the best all round solution giving you a solid wooden floor more resistant to impacts along with an added rustic appearance. A hard-wax oil finish transforms the oak to a golden biscuit colour which develops a rich patina over time.
Roofing - GRP, EPDM, and Sedum
Glass Reinforced Polyester is formed by strengthening plastic with fibres of glass and applying over a matting enabling great strength and durability.
EPDM is an ethylene and polypropylene synthetic rubber membrane that offers a complete watertight solution for your roof. Made with materials that offer over 50 years life expectancy this is both a reliable and a cost-effective option.
An extensive green roof or Sedum roof is a roof with vegetation that is more or less self-perpetuating and that can further develop and maintain itself. Like the look of a sedum roof but don’t want the maintenance? Why not go artificial!
